Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a modern therapeutic esthetic technique for introduction of drug substances, plant extracts, growth factors, vitamins, minerals, microelements, collagen, hyaluronic acid, mesotherapeutic cocktails in top skin layers (superficial, medium, deep dermis). The technique uses very fine needles to deliver series of injections most often in medium dermis-(mesodermis), avoiding systemic effect of injected substance and increasing substance concentration in the area to be treated. Mesotherapy is an alternative to invasive surgery and a valuable skin rejuvenation modality. Doctor Pistor developed the technique in 1952 and today it is varieded as indications, mainly used to:

• fade wrinkles and lines, improve skin elasticity, reduce and prevent photo/chronoaging, lighten pigmented skin, moisturize, tighten the skin.
• reduce cellulite, stretch marks, alopecia

Areas to be treated: face, neck, knees areas, hips, abdomen, scalp, palms back.

Procedure:

Treated area is cleaned and numbing medicine is applied to the skin for 15-20 minutes. The patient feels tiny microinjections which makes the procedure almost painless. Small bruising, redness, swelling from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on used substance are possible in patients with weak capillaries. You might to avoid aspirin and other NSAID for 1 week before the procedure. 4-6 sessions are recommended every 7-14 days. Treatment effect is visible after first session. 1-2-3 treatments once a year to maintain therapeutic effect are necessary and they are done in autumn- spring to prepare the skin for more aggressive climate conditions in summer- winter. Mesotherapy is not performed in infected area, active herpetic infection, skin diseases, malignancy suspicion.

Our advice

The procedure is good to be done before week-end for complete skin restoration. Microinjections themselves stimulate collagen formation and introduced substance accelerates it further.
