Cryotherapy uses extreme cold to destroy benign skin lesions and it is known long years ago. CryoPen is an advanced cryotherapy innovation that is fast, effective, safe solution for removal of skin imperfections. CryoPen emits a fine jet of nitrous oxide under high pressure, which allows clinician to work with millimeter precision. Procedure:

After cleansing the skin, the applicator is held as close as to the skin imperfection and moved quickly towards and away from it. This could be from 1-30 sec, depending on the size and the depth. Several freeze cycles for bigger areas are necessary. There will a pain sensation similar to a stinging on the skin when the nitrous oxide reaches the bottom of the area. There might be a little residual stinging a few minutes after treatment. Complete removal of the tissue is for period of 2-6 weeks. During this time the lesion shrinks or superficial crust is formed. Don’t remove forcibly the crust. There is no patient’s regimen following the procedure. There are few side effects that may occur as a result of treatment including pigmentary changes (hypo/hyperpigmentations) for a few weeks, mild edema in treated area. Postpone the next treatment at the earliest 3 weeks.
